On December 10, 2024, M.M. Khatena, a teacher of Informatics and a pedagogical expert, conducted an open lesson with the 2ЦТ1 study group. The topic of the lesson was “Number Systems. Converting Numbers from One Number System to Another.”
The objective of the lesson was to teach students how to convert numbers from one number system to another. Additionally, students learned about different types of number systems, including positional and non-positional systems, converted numbers from decimal to binary, octal, and hexadecimal, and vice versa. They modeled number systems, applied new methods to solve problems, and developed critical thinking skills while abstractly modeling concepts with computers.
During the lesson, students utilized brainstorming and interactive lecture methods, explained problem-solving processes on the board, integrated blended learning technologies, combined face-to-face and online education, and explained computer operation rules through artificial intelligence. They also engaged in group creative work. This lesson helped students gain a deeper understanding of the importance of the new topic.
