On March 15, 2019, in the Atyrau Agricultural and Technical College named after U. Kushekov within the framework of the implementation of the Five Social Initiatives of the Head of State, the main objectives of the articles by N.A Nazarbayev “Looking to the Future: Modernizing Public Consciousness” and “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe” table on the topic: “The continuity of generations and national identity.” This event was organized by the club of spiritual revival “Elsana” together with Atyrau city branch of the republican public association “Veterans’ organization”.
The main objectives of the event are to cultivate a sense of patriotism in people by studying our culture, consolidating the continuity of generations, strengthening ties between generations, presenting the life ways of older people as an example for young people, generalizing positive experience aimed at supporting the life positions of retired citizens and their involvement in the process of educating young people.
The round table was attended by: Chairman of the City Council of Veterans, Honorary Citizen of Atyrau Alipkali Bekes, Head of the “Dastyr” Club, Cultural Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Local Historian Amangali Amirzhanov, Member of the Writers’ Union of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Head of the Akan Akyly Club, Seilkhan Kaiyrzhanov, Chairman of the Permanent Commissions under the Council of Veterans, Khaiyrly Zhumagaziyev, a student of education, a member of the Writers’ Union of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a cultural figure, the Deputy Chairman of the City Council of Veterans, Abat Kenzhegali, as well as the Chairman of a public foundation and the cultural center “Zhergyyk” .Dauletov N.A., the head and active participants of the spiritual club “Elsana” N. Ermukhanov, A. Batyrkhayyruly.
Before the start of the round table, guests of the event, members of the City Council of Veterans, held 45-minute moral lessons in five groups of the college. It was a warm meeting of students with labor veterans, meaningful and interesting stories about rising the younger generation.
The results of the event were summed up by the director of the college, the doctor of technical sciences, professor I. I. Janzakov, who thanked the participants of the round table and noted the relevance of the tasks set for this event. At the end of the event, teachers and students re-admitted to the ranks of the spiritual club “Elsana” were given membership cards.
The warm meeting of representatives of two generations at the round table was a significant event aimed at reviving the spiritual values of the Great Steppe.
